Olympia has one daily newspaper, The Olympian. The weekly Cooper Point Journal is published out of The Evergreen State College and The Weekly Volcano covers the South Puget Sound area. The monthly Works in Progress newspaper covers progressive issues and unheard voices in the community.

OlyBlog and Olympia Indy Media both provide the community with news on the web. All the mainstream print media have web sites as well. There are lots of feeds about Olympia as well.

Media Island has a lending library with books, CDs, videos, magazines and newspapers.
